“This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,” Ephesians 4:17
What is vanity of the mind? It is to be devoid of truth. It is to lack appropriateness in divine matters. It is to be full of depravity and perverseness. It is to lack the force to succeed according to the ways of God. It is to be useless and of no godly purpose.
Are you walking as other Gentiles walk? Are you walking in a manner that is useful to the advancement of the kingdom of God? If you are not sure, now is the time to seek enlightenment from Holy Spirit. The enemy possesses the ability to cloak us with such darkness that we are ignorant at times to know or realize that we are not walking, as we should before the Lord. This ignorance can cause us to perish (Hosea 4:6).
If you desire to walk, as a child of God is to walk then take action today.
Step 1
Take time today to linger in the presence of the Lord. Inquire of him. Seek revelation. Ask him to identify every area where you may be walking as a Gentile. Patiently wait and listen.
Step 2
Record them in your journal book. Decide what action you want to take. Do you want to continue to walk as a Gentile or do you want to walk as a child of God?
Step 3
Establish yourself firmly in the will of God. List the actions you will take. List any and all instructions that Holy Spirits give you regarding the matter. Speak forth what is to be believing. By faith, let the matter be established.
