Extend the Reach of God’s Kingdom

“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” 2 Timothy 2:3-4

As soldiers of Christ, we are to endure suffering, affliction, troubles, hardships and evils. We are to do so with a predominate idea of confidence and trust in God. As warriors, we are not to be entangled with the cares of life in order to please God.

As warriors, we are to extend the kingdom of God. We are to expand the reach of righteousness. We are to sow in holiness. We are to claim territory for the Lord.

“And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.” Joshua 6:3

As men of war, we are to arise! Arise and take territory from the enemy. Arise; establish the flag of the king over our block, and in our communities. We are to be actively marching, advancing, and establishing the rule of the Lord.

This weeks’ challenge is prayerfully walk around your block or neighborhood in order to extend the reach of the kingdom of God.
