Challenge Day 3

“But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.” 1 Corinthians 2:15

In the secret place of your heart, are you spiritual? Do you belong to the Divine Spirit of God? Are you one with the Holy Spirit? If Christ were to come and examine your inner being, would he discover that, you are one with his spirit or that you are partnered with another?

Being spiritual goes beyond mere words or actions it is whose we are. There are many spirits but there is only one Holy Spirit. To be spiritual according to God’s standard is to be filled and governed by the Spirit of Jesus.

It is easy to pretend to be spiritual when we are around others. It is easy to mimic the language, sayings, or the mannerisms. However, God will never be fooled or impressed with pretense.

Are you pretending to have great faith? Or being courageous? Do you pretend to be kind and generous? Do you pretend to be a friend when secretly you despise certain people?

Whatever your pretense is, it is time to expose it for it is a sin. God is looking for those who are truly spiritual, for it allows us to worship him in holiness.

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24

Step 1

Take time to examine your life and relationships; are there areas where you have been faking it?

Step 2

Make a list of them in your notebook. Repent before God. Be specific. Then write out what you would like to come into being. Then open your mouth and declare it.

Step 3

The wonderful thing is that when we open our mouths and declare a thing we have two witnesses with us Jesus and Holy Spirit. Therefore, the matter is established. When we live by the spirit, there is no doubt that what we speak, ask, or declare will be pleasing to the Lord. We believe with our hearts, we confess with our mouth, and the matter is established by our faith.

“This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.” 2 Corinthians 13:1
