“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14
Deviant spirits lead many in the house of God today. The spirits of pride, lust, envy, hatred, covetousness, anger, are among a host of spirits that have infiltrated the body of Christ. Contention and strife put many at odds with one another. Unfortunately, these spirits are rampant in our families and in our churches.
God has called us to operate in unity; in a bond of love, this however is impossible if we are not led by the right spirit. Each of us must examine ourselves. What spirit leads us? Is it the spirit of God?
Step 1
Take time to list out what things have been leading you. Are you motivated by God or by worldly things? Are you driven to succeed because you desire recognition or because you want to please God?
Step 2
If your motives and desires are not inspired or derived from Holy Spirit then repent. Ask God to create in you a clean heart and to renew the right spirit within you.
Step 3
Take authority over everything that is not of God. Bind their activities. Cast them out of your life, home, and situations. Release God’s best for you and your family. Declare it and ask God cause it to be established.
