Send Praise

and Thankfulness First

“And the children of Israel arose, and went up to the house of God, and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah shall go up first.” Judges 20:18

Judah represents those who praise Jehovah. They are the ones who confess the name of the Lord and are able to give him thanks. They are the ones who know how and understand where their power, strength and support comes from.

When we go forth into battle, we must be able to shoot straight arrows so that we can throw down or cast down our enemies. Our ability to do so with precision rests on our willingness to praise and give thanks to our God first. Before anything can be done, manifested, or changed we must search within ourselves.

Are you willing to confess that our God is able? Are you willing to thank him and praise him in advance before you see our enemies toppled? Are you willing to establish your praise as a monument unto the Lord?

During this first week of the OSC challenge, let us establish monuments of praise and thanksgiving unto the Lord. Thank him for your breakthroughs, changes in circumstances, making a way for you, opening closed doors, freeing you from whatever has held you bound, rekindling your fire, giving you new dreams and visions, restoring your hope, defeating the Goliath’s in your life, or for the host of other blessings that you know are on their way to you!
