Challenge Day 1

“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Ecclesiastes 12:14

The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 12:14, that God will bring every work into judgment. He will examine every secret thing and determine if it is good or evil. What is clear from the scripture is that nothing will be overlooked. Therefore, it behooves us to look at ourselves in truth and to be honest about our standing before God. Are we living lives that he would judge “good” or “evil?”

If God would judge our lives “good”, are there ways that we can make them better to the glory of God? If he would judge them “evil” we must decide if we want that be the final word or do we desire to change it.

Step 1

Get a notebook and list all the things that you believe you currently do that please God. Then compile a list of all the things that you believe displease God. Based on your lists what actions do you want to take?

Step 2

Lift up your prayer request unto the Lord. Ask him for help, guidance and strength.

Step 3

Identify the scriptural foundation that will help you to overcome each one of areas of challenge. Use these scriptures as the basis for your prayers.

One of the keys to overcoming secret sins is to remove the secret from them. When we confess our sins before God, we bring them into the light of his presence. This act alone helps to minimize the devils ability to operate undetected. It helps us to operate in truth and openness before God. As we continue to rely on God, we will grow in strength and determination.

If you fall again do not get discouraged just get up! As a righteous man, you are duty bound to rise.

“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.” Proverbs 24:16
